Supported Devices & Hardware Guide

Harvest Point Mobile supports compatible iPads and iPhones running iOS 16.6 / iPadOS 16.6 or later for the 2026–2027 growing season. Use this guide to check devices already in your operation or plan a hardware purchase.

Quick summary: A device is compatible when it can run iOS 16.6 or iPadOS 16.6 and meets the requirements below. Newer hardware generally offers better battery life and performance, but Harvest Point does not require the newest model.

Minimum Requirements

  • Operating System: iOS 16.6 / iPadOS 16.6 or later
  • Storage: 100 MB available space (500 MB recommended for offline data)
  • Connectivity: Wi-Fi or cellular data (offline mode is available)
  • Camera: Required when using barcode scanning features

Apple publishes the authoritative lists of devices that can run iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 . Confirm that a used or older device can install at least version 16.6 before purchasing it.

Older compatible devices: iPhone 8, iPhone X, and other older models can run Harvest Point when updated to iOS 16.6. Age, battery condition, storage, and camera condition can affect field performance, so inspect used hardware before relying on it for a full crew.

Devices That Do Not Meet the Minimum

Devices that cannot install iOS 16.6 or iPadOS 16.6 are not compatible with the current Harvest Point Mobile build. Common examples include:

  • iPad Air 2
  • iPad mini 4
  • iPad 4th generation and earlier
  • iPhone 7 / 7 Plus
  • iPhone 6s / 6s Plus
  • iPhone SE 1st generation
